in Sochi. This is the first such install of a club system
in an international hotel in Russia.
HRS developed and installed at the Radisson's behest an
interface that links the hotel's Fidelio front office
software and Micros cash registers with the club system.
"It was our understanding from the word go",
said Vadim Schnoll, Technical Director for HRS, "that
the hotel preferred to be a cash-less operation relying on
membership cards." Trako allows the hotel to take
money on account or issue credit based upon the hotel
guidelines. The hotel gains additionally by being able to
track all customer purchases inside the property.
It is no secret that hotels, food and
beverage outlets and clubs have difficulty controlling
cash transactions. Although everyone complains about the
problem, no one is able to calculate exact loses
associated with employee defalcation. The Radisson SAS
wanted to install a club system that primarily brought
value to customers in terms of ease of payment. The fact
that it gives the hotel a weapon against theft is
certainly a big plus.
